Vivian is Director of Business Development at Harvard University commercializing technologies in the areas of regenerative biology, chemistry and chemical biology.  She has established major alliances with pharma/biotech that are developing first in class therapeutics and has led the efforts to license foundational technologies to numerous Harvard start-up companies (Editas Medicine, Semma Therapeutics, Macrolide Pharmaceuticals, Qstate and others). Prior to joining Harvard Vivian held positions in research management and business development at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Mitotix and GPC Biotech.  She led multiple R&D programs advancing programs from discovery to pre-clinical development.  She has also been a strategic consultant to several life science companies.  Vivian holds an MS from Harvard University, PhD from Stanford University and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research of MIT.
