Today we highlight a member of the Kectil Generation who shared with us how being a part of the Kectil Program changed his life.

David Henry is a Saint Lucian transformational leader who is nicknamed “Youth Chancellor”. David is a Co-Founder of OIEI Educational Institute and Founding Curator of the Global Shapers Castries Hub. He is also the founder of “2019 the Year of Youth” Informal Movement and President of his District Youth and Sports Council. He also serves as an Ambassador to TeachSDG, American Sexual Health Association, World Family Federation, Global Education Influence and Saint Lucia National Youth Council. David was the first footballer of the Saint Lucia FA to move into professional football and currently works as a National Coach at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and as a Senior Youth Leader at the Sacred Sports Foundation. In David’s words, “I am determined to lead a generation of change. I am a leader of the Kectil Generation in Saint Lucia, motivating them to serve, empower, and amplify their voices for good and to tackle the issues that are embedded in the culture of our societies. This year I’m going all in to fight for change, challenging youth from not only from my country but all over the world, to take full ownership and responsibility for injustices we inherited and create a world of change. We are going to upset the status quo where needed.”
